2003 - Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (Doctoral thesis "Geodynamic conditions of formation of metallogenic systems of Kazakhstan");

Research
Aleksei K.Mazurov was one of those who initiated evaluation of the greatest iron-ore deposit located on the territory of Tomsk Region, which allowed an eastern part of Bakchar prospective area to become a first-priority evaluation object.
A.K. Mazurov is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and the Academy of Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Author of 75 scientific publications, including 11 books and 18 scientific and research-and-production reports.
