Leonid P. Rikhvanov (DOB 1945) – Professor at the Department of Geoecology and Geochemistry at Tomsk Polytechnic University. Established and developed the Siberian Radiogeochemical school which is widely-known across the world. His research covers geochemistry of radioactive elements, toxic components detection in mineral deposits, ecological evaluation of territories, biosphere investigation of previous ages. Organized and introduced Geoecology degree course at TPU, first behind the Ural Mountains. Published over 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals, co-author of 9 monographs, author of 3 monographs, 14 tutorials, registered 9 inventor’s certificates and patents. H-index (WoS) – 3, h-index (Scopus) – 5, h-index (Russian Citation Index) – 12.

One of active science popularizers. Famous for his comments on different geological and geochemical phenomena: Sleepy Hollow in Kazakhstan, a giant crater in Yakutia.
