Aleksei K. Mazurov

Alexey K. Mazurov (DOB 02.01.1951, Osinovka, Kozhevnikovsky District, Tomsk Region) – Doctor in Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Geology Mineral Exploration of the Institute of Natural Resources, First Vice-Rector of Tomsk Polytechnic University.

Biography

1974 - Graduated from TPI (TPU) as mining engineer and geologist (Geology, searches and investigation of ores of rare and radioactive elements).

1974 - Engineer of the Department of Geology and Mineralogy, TPI.

1976 - The Kazakh Central Geological Survey (later Association "Tsentrkazgeologiya": geologist, guider, chief geologist exploration party, senior engineer, deputy head, head of the geological department PGE "Tsentrkazgeologiya."

1993 - Chief Geologist of Central Kazakhstan management for protection and use of mineral resources.

1998 - Committee of Geology and Subsoil Protection Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan (later the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources ), where he worked as deputy head of the Committee to the Deputy Chairman of Geology and Mineral Protection - Chairman of the State Commission on Reserves of the Republic of Kazakhstan .

2004 - Tomsk Polytechnic University: Director of the Institute of Geology and oil and gas business.

2005 - Concurrently Head of the Department of Geology and Mineral Exploration TPU.

2007 - First Vice-Rector of TPU .

2009 - Director of the Institute of Natural Resources of TPU .

Since 2011 - Vice-Rector for Finance of TPU .

1988 - Defended his PhD dissertation "Geology, material composition of ore deposits and weathering crust Koktenkol"

2003 - Defended his Higher doctoral degree dissertation «Geodynamic conditions of formation of metallogenic systems of Kazakhstan."

Scientific Work

Author of 75 scientific publications, including 11 books and 18 scientific and research-and-production reports.

[1] Почетный разведчик недр РФ, Почетный разведчик недр Республики Казахстан, действительный член Российской академии естественных наук, член–корреспондент Сибирской академии наук высшей школы, член-корреспондент Академии минеральных ресурсов Республики Казахстан.
